I’m Robyn Asprey Hiscock, a qualified birth and postnatal doula, with three amazing children and a wonderful wife. Becoming a parent, and building our blended family has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and it’s why I’m so passionate about being with you as you transition into parenthood.

Pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period can bring a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and big emotions. You deserve a calm and compassionate ally as you navigate it all. I will create a space where you can truly be heard, and equipped with reliable information to allow you to make informed decisions that are right for you, your baby and your family. My background as a family support worker, nanny, nursery manager, forest school leader, and self-advocacy supporter means I bring a wide range of experience of building genuine connections, helping and supporting where necessary, whilst leaving space to follow your instincts and work out who you are as a parent and a family.

However your pregnancy, birth and postnatal period play out, I’m here, supporting and encouraging you as you grow your family. Wherever and however you choose to birth, you deserve to be in control - it is your body, and your choice.

Many new parents seek support from a postnatal doula because, as the proverb says, “it takes a village to raise a child". Having a caring presence can make the early days feel far less overwhelming. I offer a calm reassurance with new parenting tasks such as feeding, bathing and burping your baby, nappy changes, and using slings safely and comfortably. I can create precious opportunities for you to rest, take on light housework and offer a listening ear whenever you need someone to talk to. My experience as a childcare practitioner means I can provide guidance without pressure and support without judgement, helping you gain confidence as you bond with your baby.
